01 / 05Challenge

Couples and families lose tasks across chats and notes. Mental load is invisible labour that runs the household.

Every household has a person whose unwritten job is the cognitive index, the schedule, the medical appointments, the names of every teacher, the birthdays. Productivity apps don't help, because they're built around individual to-dos and individual calendars. The mental load is fundamentally a shared problem.

RemindHer was scoped to be the first task system designed for a household: voice-first because parents don't have free hands, emotionally generous because a tool used dozens of times a day shouldn't feel transactional, and multi-language ready so the same family can speak whichever language is closest at hand.

02 / 05Voice Pipeline

Hold the mic. Speak. Done. From "remind me to…" to a structured task in 4 seconds.

The voice flow is the product. Hold the mic, speak naturally in any language the household uses (or any code-switched mix between them), release. Whisper transcribes, handling the medical and school vocabulary that lives in real households, and the brand names that swap mid-sentence. GPT-4o-mini takes the transcript with a structured-output prompt and returns five fields.

Google Calendar sync runs in the same call, returning a conflict-check answer and a suggested next slot. The result card shows what the AI heard, what it parsed, and what it's about to save, every field editable. Auto-priority rules promote anything tagged Health, Coordination, or Payment to High; everything else defaults to Med. Notification timing routes to the per-user agenda preference set during onboarding.

03 / 05Calendar · Lists

Google Calendar sync, partner-shared task feed. Day, Week, Month, with regional holidays layered natively.

The Calendar surface gives the household three views, Day, Week, Month. Tasks render against the shared schedule with assignee chips, and a holiday-calendar layer marks regional festivals natively so nothing important gets quietly buried. The conflict-detection that fires during voice creation also surfaces here.

Google Calendar syncs two-way, so a meeting added in Calendar still appears in the household feed, and a household task pushed in by voice appears on the partner's work calendar. Beyond reminders, RemindHer ships Lists for the running shopping list, the next-doctor-visit packing list, the school-supplies catch-all. Lists are voice-fillable using the same Whisper + GPT-4o-mini pipeline, family-shared by default, with one-tap share-out so the partner picking things up sees real-time updates.

04 / 05Reward · Subscribe · Invite

Coins for done. Real partner self-care brands. Inverted from app-norm, the runner pays, the partner unblocks.

The mental-load thesis means the reward layer can't feel like the gamification parents already mistrust elsewhere, sticker-chart Skinner boxes, points-as-bribes. We designed it inverted: the family wallet aggregates contributions from every member, the streak counter is on the household not the individual, and the rewards store is curated for the household-runner's own self-care.

The pricing model is similarly inverted: the household-runner pays a subscription, the partner is free to view and complete tasks (the unblocking work), and only pays if they want to create reminders too. A shareable magic link is how the partner joins, one tap from the runner's phone, OS share sheet, the partner clicks and lands in a family that already knows who they are. 7-day token, single-use, auto-revoked on family removal.

05 / 05Lobby & Onboarding

The lobby is the household at a glance , voice always one thumb away.

The lobby is what the household-runner sees the moment the app opens, dynamic greeting, a family-member filter bar, and today's tasks split into Morning / Afternoon / Evening so a glance answers "what's next." The center microphone is always one thumb away.

Onboarding is six discrete phases. Intro slides establish the mental-load thesis. Account creation supports phone OTP, Apple, Google. Family setup captures multi-child profiles and triggers the partner magic link. Behavioural personalisation asks three questions that configure auto-priority rules. The 7-day trial paywall hands off to Apple IAP / Google Play via RevenueCat. Final phase requests notifications + Google Calendar permissions.
