Job description
We’re looking for a curious and capable Associate Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of low-code innovation and full-stack development. You’ll work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and low-code specialists to build high-performance, production-ready web applications used by clients around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Build modular and scalable Node.js (Express/NestJS) microservices with clean architecture, async handling, and robust error management.
- Design and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring reliability, version control, and documentation.
- Implement authentication/authorization flows using OAuth2 and JWT and manage API rate limits and retries.
Frontend Development
- Develop interactive, responsive UIs using React/Next.js, integrating seamlessly with APIs and low-code components.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and Bubble developers to deliver cohesive, user-centered products.
- Continuously optimize performance, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
Data & Infrastructure
- Work with Postgres for schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Use Redis for caching and performance tuning.
- Leverage AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, and S3 for hosting, scaling, and storage.
DevOps & Delivery
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, and best practices for environment and secret management.
- Help ensure smooth deployments and consistent development workflows across the team.
- Participate in setting up monitoring and logging for production environments.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work alongside low-code developers to integrate code-based and visual workflows.
- Participate in peer reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
- Contribute ideas to improve the team’s engineering and delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in full-stack or backend development (internships included).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React/Next.js.
- Understanding of database design (Postgres) and caching (Redis).
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
- Enthusiasm for low-code and automation technologies.
